Sustainability

Ljuds™ is a sustainable and recyclable acoustic material made of wood wool, cement, and water. Its natural ingredients combine to offer a range of functional properties.

Our goal is to not only provide effective acoustic solutions but also contribute to a sustainable future for our planet.

Ljuds™ wood wool panels are crafted from an eco-friendly and recyclable blend of wood wool, cement, and water. The inherent open structure of the wood wool panel minimises sound reflections, setting it apart as an effective sound absorbing panel. The panels are environmentally friendly and formaldehyde free.

Only logs from sustainably managed forests are chosen. These forests are governed to follow strict sustainable forestry practices. This approach guarantees a renewable wood supply while protecting ecosystems and preserving wildlife habitats.

Once the logs are sourced, they are processed into thin wood slivers. This is done using precision cutting tools that minimize waste. The wood slivers are then dried to reduce moisture content, which ensures they bind effectively with the cement and water in the next step.

Ljuds™ panels are made without organic binders, which can emit harmful chemicals. Instead, their simple composition of wood, cement, and water ensures that they are both sustainable and recyclable. The mixture is then poured into molds to form panels of various sizes and shapes.

The open structure of Ljuds™ wood wool panels effectively reduces noise, creating interiors that promote productivity. The sustainability of wood wool panels like Ljuds™ makes them an excellent choice for eco-conscious construction projects. The production process, which emphasises the careful sourcing of materials and efficient manufacturing techniques, reflects a commitment to environmental stewardship and innovation in building materials.
